Our history
The Chipping fore Charity golf tournament raises monies to benefit a group of pre-determined local non-profit children’s charities. This year’s charity is Coats & Boots.
Coats and Boots is a non-profit founded in 2006 to support underserved children in northern Colorado.
Each year more than 1,000 children (grades K-5) receive a brand new winter coat and pair of boots.
100% of donations to goes toward the purchase of the coats and boots. It is run by volunteers who give their time and energy to helping the children without any compensation.
The Downtown Club of Fort Collins (DCFC) plans, organizes, and staffs the tournament. Each recipient charity helps DCFC find golfers, sponsors, and donors. There is no paid staff and 100 percent of the profits go to charities.
Last year Chipping fore Charities donated $66,000. Since the event’s inception, it has accounted for $588,000 donated to local charities.
